Had to look at this beautiful mountain for far too long from my hotel window in Huaraz... So in the end I just had to climb it! I went together with my guide from the Pisco climb, William, and Andy, a great fellow from England. Since we stayed three nights in the moraine camp at 4900m to learn a few mountaineering skills in the days before the climb, we were joined by Pedro, Williams father who took care of the camp and cooked sumptous meals and seemingly infinite amounts of hot tea. A very enjoyable trip!
